Nonprofit opens doors to clinics, services for public

Share our Selves, a large nonprofit organization in Costa Mesa near Hoag Hospital, is holding an open house Nov. 5 to show anyone interested how the organization provides healthcare, food and monetary assistance to the area’s needy.

Four times a year the charity formally opens its doors to the general public and takes people on tours of the medical clinic, the dental clinic, and the food and financial services.

“A lot of community members have been giving money to Share our Selves for many years, and they’ve never come and seen how we do things,” organization spokeswoman Elizabeth Evans said.

Tours generally take 30 to 45 minutes, Evans said, and they run from 7:30 a.m. to roughly 1:30 p.m.
