HUNTINGTON BEACH — Kirby Burnham had eight kills and three blocks for the Sailors in their 25-18, 25-16, 25-15 Sunset League win Wednesday.

Katey Thompson had seven kills and Mary Buckingham had six for Harbor (18-7, 5-2 in league).

Oxford Academy

NEWPORT COAST — Lindsey Kish and Madison Gordon-Lavee had seven kills each for Sage in its 25-17, 25-20, 25-14 Academy League win Wednesday.

Gordon-Lavee had three aces, as did Hana Hunt, who also had 26 assists and two kills for the Lightning (13-10, 7-0 in league).

GIRLS’ GOLF

Pacific Coast League finals

SAN CLEMENTE — Corona del Mar’s Amanda Johnson shot 90-88-178 on the par-146 course to finish tied for sixth at San Clemente Golf Course.

The PCL takes the top six for CIF postseason, but Johnson did not advance because she had one more stroke on the 18th hole than University Melissa Witanya.

Kelly Moorhead (183) and finished 11th, Grace Kim (189) 14th and Hyebin Hong (190) 15th.

LAGUNA BEACH — Melissa Matsuoka swept at No. 1 singles for the Sea Kings in the nonleague match Wednesday.

The Sea Kings remained undefeated at 14-0.

DANA POINT — The Lightning dropped to 15-5 after their loss to the CIF Division I defending champions Wednesday.

LAGUNA BEACH — Senior two-meter player Cody Serrano finished with five goals as the Mustangs closed out Orange Coast League play in second place.

Sage Hill finished 2-2 in league, good for third place. Andrew Dorne finished with five goals and Michael Ljungh had four goals for Sage Hill (13-8 overall).
