The first election returns are being tallied in Huntington Beach.

At 8:45 p.m., two incumbents were neck-and-neck in the city council race for three open seats; Keith Bohr was in the lead with 23.2% of the votes, followed closely by Don Hansen with 23.1%.

Bohr, a real estate broker and consultant, seeks to adopt a longterm financial strategy in his next four years on the council.

Hansen, a finance executive who studied international relations, is also the director of the Orange County Sanitation District.
