Salute, thank them

You’ll have a few ways to pay tribute to our veterans on their day today.

American Legion Post 291 in Newport Beach will feature its 21-gun salute starting at 11 a.m.

The legion will also cast flowers into the bay after announcing all of its members who have died over the past year.

St. John the Baptist school in Costa Mesa will hold its annual Veterans Day tribute at 1 p.m. The scheduled keynote speaker will be Marine Corps Major (ret.) William R. Mimiaga.
