Little League registration dates set

Huntington Valley Little League will continue in-person registration Saturday and Dec. 6 for its 2009 season.

Registration will take place at the league’s Wardlow Field, 9191 Pioneer Ave., in Huntington Beach.

All players must bring the following items to the registration process: original birth certificate, proof of residence — such as a recent utility bill with home address — and payment for fees.

The league is open to boys and girls ages 4 to 14 as of April 30, 2009 who live within the boundaries of the league.

The cost per player is $75 for T-ball (ages 4-5), $120 for Little League (ages 6-12) and $175 for the Junior division (ages 13-14).

A $100 per family fundraising fee also is required at registration.

Volleyball club tryout is Sunday

TCA (Team Complete Athlete) Volleyball Club will hold its next tryout session Sunday at Los Caballeros Sports Club in Fountain Valley.

The tryout is the second of four upcoming dates and is open to girls’ ages 15-18 from throughout Orange County.

Tryouts for the 15s and under group runs from 9 a.m. to noon and the 16s and under from 2 to 5 p.m.

Los Caballeros Sports Club is at 17272 Newhope Ave., in Fountain Valley.
