The Bren Events Center at UCI will host a ceremony Sunday to pay tribute to Roman Catholics killed in Vietnam from the late 1700s through the middle of the 1800s.

The annual event coincides with the feast day of the Vietnamese Martyrs, which is Monday, and is expected to draw thousands.

Bishop Tod Brown of the Diocese of Orange will help lead a procession followed by a celebration of the Eucharist to commemorate the canonization in 1988 of slain Vietnamese Catholics.
