PET OF THE WEEK

This Christmas when you crack out “The Lion King” DVD with the kids, how about surprising them with their very own Simba?

The Community Animal Network is offering Simba, a purebred Bengal, for adoption.

The neutered male cat is nearly 2 years old and friendly.

“Simba is an extremely affectionate cat,” said DiAnna Pfaff-Martin, the network’s founder. “We are seeking someone who has no other animals and is home enough to give Simba the time and attention he craves.”

The network so far hasn’t found just the right match for Simba.

“Simba has stirred a lot of interest, but the right home hasn’t been found yet,” Pfaff-Martin said. “I meet a lot of people who haven’t considered if their lifestyle and work schedule is harmonious with having a pet.”
