SAN LUIS OBISPO — The Pirates made just one of 14 three-point attempts (7.1%) and had 24 turnovers in the first round of the Cuesta Tournament Thursday.

Simone Ibbotson led OCC (6-2) with nine points and shared the rebounding lead with fellow sophomore Casey Gomez with five. Gomez had eight points, but was just three of 14 from the field, including zero for six from threedom.

The Pirates play in consolation action against Hancock today at 1:30 p.m.
