Blood donors may get free Clippers tickets, ice cream

The American Red Cross has teamed up with the Los Angeles Clippers and Cold Stone Creamery to offer free tickets to a game and ice cream for anyone who donates blood or platelets this month.

All donors will also have a chance to win an American Express gift card valued at $500 when they donate blood or platelets at any Red Cross blood drive in Orange, Los Angeles, Ventura or San Diego counties. Any donations will help the Red Cross deal with persistently low blood supply levels, officials said.

Donors will receive a free voucher for a free Cold Stone Creamery ice cream and two Los Angeles Clippers ticket for a select game in February. Tickets are subject to availability and there is a $5 processing fee for the tickets.
