H.B. man fatally struck by car while crossing street

Police have released the name of a Huntington Beach man who was fatally struck by a car while trying to walk across the street.

Isidoro A. Cardozo, 42, was pronounced dead at 10:25 p.m. Saturday at UCI Medical Center, according to the county coroner’s office. He was struck about 5:30 p.m. while trying to cross Beach Boulevard near Slater Avenue, traffic officer Bob Barr said.

Police are still investigating the death of Cardozo, who did not use the signal to cross the street, Barr said. They did not arrest the driver, who pulled over after the collision.
