HUNTINGTON BEACH — Sophomore Kayla Marolt scored 14 points to lead the undefeated Sea Kings to a pool-play win at the Liberty Christian tournament Tuesday.

Junior Katie Bergsma, who scored nine points and grabbed 12 rebounds, hit two free throws with 20 seconds left to seal the win for the Sea Kings (8-0), CdM Coach Mark Decker said.

CdM resumes pool play today at 6:30 p.m. against Saddleback.

Estancia (5-3) was led by junior Erika Soto, who scored 16 points. Sophomore Kassie Stratton added 11 points and sophomore Brenda Soto had 10 points.

Senior Kaitlyn White scored three goals for the Eagles (4-4), and junior Gracie Brestle scored twice and also spent some time in goal. Coach Jennifer Perry said two-meter guard Tyler Andrews also played well.

Estancia plays host to Ocean View today.

Danielle Bowen made nine saves and added two assists for the winners.
