Applicants sought for O.C. Grand Jury

The Orange County Superior Court is seeking citizens to apply for the 2009-10 Orange County Grand Jury. Applications will be accepted until Jan. 9.

Nineteen Orange County residents will be selected to serve as grand jurors.

Service as a grand juror requires a full-time commitment for one year, from July 1, 2009, to June 30, 2010.

Grand Jurors review and evaluate the work of government agencies, schools and special districts within the County of Orange.

A grand juror must be at least 18 or older, a United States citizen, and have resided in Orange County for at least one year.  

Applications may be obtained at ocgrandjury.org; by calling the Grand Jury Hotline at (714) 834-6747; or from the Jury Commissioner’s Office in the Central Justice Center, 700 Civic Center Drive West, Santa Ana, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

A mandatory orientation program for prospective grand jurors will be at 5 p.m. Jan. 20 in Department C-1 at the Central Justice Center, 700 Civic Center Drive West, Santa Ana.
