Big West recognizes studious UCI athletes

UC Irvine placed 24 student-athletes on the Big West Conference Fall All-Academic list.

Representing the Big West champion men’s soccer team were Corey Attaway, Brett Berman, Matt Murphy, Spencer Thompson, Amani Walker and Shane Westbrook.

Women’s soccer players Tanya Taylor and Kathleen Lemieux were recognized, as were women’s volleyball players Lauren Kellerman and Riley Cropper.

Candice Chavez, Lauren Chramosta, Samantha Costantini, Megan Fairley, Katherine Nielson, Shelby Pock, Stephanie Sconberg and Jessica Vaughn represented the women’s cross country team.

Men’s cross country runners Aman Bhatia, Colin Hacker, Nick Mosey, Camron Shahmirzadi, Greg Thompson and Rusty Whisman were also recognized.

The Anteaters’ honorees, among 122 overall, maintained at least a 3.2 cumulative grade-point average.
