UCI baseball camp set

The UC Irvine baseball program has joined forces with Cal State Fullerton and Long Beach State to offer the Big Three of the Big West High School Showcase Camp, Jan. 17 through 19 at their respective diamonds.

High school players, ages 15 to 19 will spend a day with each program, learning from coaches Mike Gillespie (UCI), Mike Weathers (Long Beach State) and Dave Serrano (Cal State Fullerton) as well as their respective coaching staffs.

Participants will take part in individual skill workouts each day and will play in three games, one at each site. Instruction will mirror the way these nationally-ranked programs guide their own teams.

The fees are $599 for position players or two-way players and $499 for pitchers only. Participants will receive a T-shirt from each program.
