PET OF THE WEEK

These two twin-like, affectionate Maine Coon brothers — Buddy and Rosco — have lost their home, much like a lot of felines do when they have trouble co-existing with toddlers, according to their caretakers at the Community Animal Network.

Fortunately for these two, their microchip identification rescued them from the Orange County Animal Care Center, and they ended up back at the Community Animal Network.

They caught colds while in the shelter, but are getting better now, according to their caretakers, and they will be up again for adoption. If you’re interested in taking in Rosco and Buddy, call the network at (949) 759-3646.

Many other pets will be available to visit with and adopt at the network’s pet adoption event noon to 4 p.m. at Fashion Island this weekend. You can also check out who’s available at animalnetwork.org.

If you’d also like to donate to the organization, mail your check to Community Animal Network, P.O. Box 8662 Newport Beach, CA., 92658, and memo the check with nonprofit tax ID 33-0971560.
