Public comments needed for proposed gas station
The city is seeking public comment for a proposed Arco service station at 21452 Brookhurst St., at the corner of Hamilton Avenue.
The project would demolish a gas station, including removing storage tanks and any necessary soil remediation. The new Arco would have a 2,400-square-foot convenience market, which would sell alcohol, and a 960-square-foot automated car wash.
The public will be able to review and comment on the project’s Draft Negative Declaration, No. 08-017, through Feb. 6 at the City Hall Planning Department or City Clerk’s Office, 2000 Main St., or at the Central Library, 7111 Talbert Ave. It is also available at surfcityhb.org/ Government/Departments/Planning /PJB/eac/EAC.cfm.
