Douglass featured in nonconference matchup

Pat Douglass will face his former team for the first time in a regular-season meeting tonight at 7:05, when the UC Irvine men’s basketball team plays host to Cal State Bakersfield in a nonconference game.

Douglass, in his 12th year with the Anteaters, was the head coach at Cal State Bakersfield for 10 seasons (1987-97), compiling a 257-61 record and winning three NCAA Division II national titles (1993, 1994 and 1997). Douglass was inducted into the Bob Elias Kern County Sports Hall of Fame in 2004.
