From 1:15 to 1:18 a.m. Sunday, multiple callers reported hearing between five and 10 shots fired near their homes. The source of the shots is unknown. The callers were from Warner Avenue at Newland Street; Beach Boulevard at Talbert Street; Slater Avenue at Gothard Street; the 8400 block of Benjamin Drive; the 17800 block of La Costa Lane; Manchester Lane; the 8000 block of Taylor Drive; the 18600 block of Applewood Circle; and Hartlund Street at Talbert Avenue.

AREA 1

Bolsa Avenue: Self-described “Pomona Boys” gang members with knives disturbed the peace after they were told to leave a bar on the 6000 block at 1:32 a.m. Sunday.

Goldenwest Street: A Ford Expedition was reported keyed for the second day in a row at an apartment complex on the 15300 block at 11:47 a.m. Sunday.

Marlin Drive: A caller said someone tried to buy a house using their personal information on the 4900 block at 12:32 p.m. Sunday.

Edinger Avenue: A physical fight began in a movie theater when someone kept answering their mobile phone during a movie on the 7700 block at 3:45 p.m. Sunday.

Southlake Drive: Someone said a man hits on her whenever her fiancé leaves her apartment on the 7800 block at 7:49 p.m. Sunday.

Goldenwest Street: Someone parked in front of a bank and a craft store, and began selling stolen stereo systems on the 15000 block at 10:19 a.m. Saturday.

Bolsa Chica Street at Heil Avenue: Five young men were seen fighting at 11:54 a.m. Saturday.

Briarcliff Drive: Someone said their ex-boyfriend from Texas booked an airplane ticket using her credit card information on the 6200 block at 2:59 p.m. Saturday.

AREA 2

Seapoint Avenue at Garfield Avenue: Someone called to report an African-American man who was looking sensually at a female jogger, at 9:10 a.m. Sunday. “This is a very affluent area,” the caller said, adding the man “didn’t belong” in their neighborhood.

Slater Avenue: Someone attempted to break into a car and unsuccessfully steal a radio on the 7800 block at 10:16 a.m. Sunday.

Taylor Drive: A lost man who said he was 90 years old and from Ohio came up to a residence on the 7600 block at 5:22 p.m. Sunday. Someone later called to say their 95-year-old father went on a walk two hours prior; the two were reunited.

Beach Boulevard: Someone said their Blackberry, briefcase, laptop and gym bag were stolen from their vehicle on the 18300 block at 7:58 p.m. Sunday.

Meadowcrest Drive: Someone with a flashlight was seen peering into vehicles on the 6400 block at 12:19 a.m. Saturday.

Warner Avenue: A messenger bag was reported stolen from a Scion on the 7700 block at 8:58 a.m. Saturday.

Warner Avenue: A vehicle in an apartment carport was reportedly broken into, with two laptops, Christian Dior shoes and clothes, and a GPS system stolen, on the 7700 block at 10:17 a.m. Saturday.

Main Street: A man tried to ring up a $52 bill at a store and then ran away on the 200 block at 10:48 a.m. Sunday. The man was detained on the patio, and found to have a stolen wallet and someone else’s ID.

Indianapolis Avenue: Someone said their cell phone, keys and Mini Cooper were stolen while they were at a party on the 500 block at 12:27 p.m. Sunday.

10th Street: A transient seen in a vacant house’s garage was found to have a parole violation and arrested on the 600 block at 5:49 p.m. Sunday.

AREA 4

Adams Avenue: About 15 people were seen fighting in a parking lot on the 8000 block at 12:47 a.m. Sunday.

Brookhurst Street: Two women tried to run away from a taxi without paying their fare on the 21600 block at 2:58 a.m. Sunday. The taxi driver caught up with one of the women and got her credit card information.

Pettswood Drive: A woman who had thrown up in the back of a taxi refused to pay her fare; she went into her house and passed out on the 9600 block at 2:58 a.m. Sunday. Police contacted her mother, who paid the fare.

Adams Avenue: Three people tried to run out of a business with full shopping carts on the 10000 block at 8:33 a.m. Sunday.

Sunridge Drive: Someone found their vehicle’s window was broken, with a GPS system, car charger and cash stolen, on the 9400 block at 8:48 a.m. Sunday.

Kukui Drive: A resident said a man was groping himself and making “rapper moves” on the 10200 block at 3 p.m. Sunday. The resident was concerned because children were playing nearby.

Brookhurst Street: A caller reported people were trying to string fishing wire across the 21500 block at 12:48 a.m. Saturday.

Newland Street at Hamilton Avenue: Someone found a Mercedes parked in the middle of a field, with the VIN number pried off and both license plates missing, at 9:04 a.m. Saturday.

Alvarado Drive: Someone was seen trying to open vehicle handles on the 8300 block at 11:54 a.m. Saturday.

Topside Drive: A vehicle was found keyed on the 8500 block at 3:07 p.m. Saturday.

Pitcairn Lane: A caller said they were called by the Nordstrom fraud department and told someone in Thousand Oaks was trying to use their personal information on the 19300 block at 3:15 p.m. Saturday.

AREA 5

Martin Avenue: Vandalism was reported from a residence on the 8900 block at 4:31 p.m. Sunday.

AREA 6

Clover Court: A vehicle burglary was reported on the 9400 block at 9:24 a.m. Monday.

Harbor Boulevard: A shoplifter was taken into custody at a store on the 16100 block at 12:30 p.m. Monday.

Newhope Street at Talbert Avenue: Grand theft was reported at 4:55 p.m. Sunday.
