PET OF THE WEEK

Sunny is a 4-month-old marble Bengal tabby cat. He is highly social and loves affection even more than food. He would be best suited for a home without toddlers.

Sunny has two siblings, Baxter and Marble, and you can meet all three in front of Russo’s Pet Experience at Fashion Island from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The volunteers at Community Animal Network say they look forward to people getting excited about pet adoption again, and they miss greeting the crowds of anxious would-be adopter’s that used to visit the Fashion Island pet adoptions.

Many animals have missed the opportunity to find new homes for the holidays because of the overall concern for the financial future.

Please consider making a donation to help pay for Mickey the dog’s ear surgery and to help the yellow lab Maggie with her itchy skin. The bill associated with their rescue is $1,296.
