Blood, bone marrow donations sought at UCI

In conjunction with the Black & Blue Rivalry Series between the UC Irvine and Long Beach State athletic departments, UCI students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in the “I Bleed Blue” drive to collect the most blood donations and marrow registries.

The UCI Blood Mobile, along with the National Marrow Donor Program, will be located on Ring Road, adjacent to the UCI Cross Cultural Center, today through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Donors may reserve their appointment time in advance by sending an e-mail to donateblood@uci.edu. Donors should include the dates and times they are available to donate.

Anyone donating blood will receive one free “I Bleed Blue” T-shirt and two free tickets to Saturday’s Big West Conference men’s basketball home game against first-place Long Beach State at 7 p.m.
