Eagles can capture share of Orange Coast crown

The Estancia High girls’ basketball team can earn a share of the Orange Coast League title and the league’s No. 1 spot in the CIF Southern Section playoffs with a win tonight against visiting Calvary Chapel.

Estancia (19-9, 5-2 in league) can pull even with Godinez in the league standings with a win. But, by virtue of sweeping their two head-to-head meetings this season, Estancia would earn the league’s No. 1 playoff berth.

Estancia, however, lost a 56-46 verdict to Calvary Chapel (12-13, 5-2) in the two teams’ first meeting Jan. 22.
