Douglas Oliver Bray

Douglas Oliver Bray

Born in Glasgow, Scotland July 8, 1921. Passed away Feb.18th

2009. He was a resident of the Newport Beach/Costa Mesa

area for most of his lifetime. He attended NB Elementary

School and graduated from Newport Harbor High School in

1941. Mr Bray was in the US Navy and served aboard the aircraft

carrier Hornet. He ran the passenger vessels from Long

Beach to Avalon harbor for many years. He is survived by his

son Douglas O. Bray II and daughter Bonnie Jean Miller of

Costa Mesa. His ashes will be scattered in his beloved sea.
