goodbye to David Matthew

Perry, aka “Big Wave Dave”,

who passed away on February

21st at the age of 45. Dave

was born in Los Angeles July

9th, 1963 and his family

moved to Newport Beach in

1965. The family then moved

to the Seattle area for a brief time before returning to Newport

in 1976. Dave graduated from Corona Del Mar High School

in 1981 and went on to receive a Bachelor’s degree from the

University of San Diego. He worked for Russell surfboards for

many years and spent the last 10 years in Sales & Marketing.

He lived near the beach at 56th St. and his favorite pastimes

were surfing making his friends laugh and surfing some more.

He is predeceased by his father Charles. He leaves behind

his mother Judy, brother Chris, sister- in-law Cherri, adoring

nephews Chaz & Carson, his girlfriend Fon, Uncle Bill and

many, many friends… we all will miss him.
