WACO, Texas — Sophomore Casey Stevenson singled with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth to break a 5-5 tie in the final game of the three-game Baylor Classic Sunday at Baylor University.

No. 5-ranked UCI (7-4) trailed, 5-2, after six innings. But the Anteaters scored two in the seventh, one in the eighth and one in the ninth to allow junior All-American closer Eric Pettis to earn his first win of the season.

Junior catcher Francis Larson, who hit his third home run of the season, was two for five, while freshman Tommy Reyes and junior outfielder Dillon Bell also had two hits apiece to aid UCI’s 14-hit attack.

UCI visits USC tonight at 6:30.
