Happy is a 6-month-old designer breed puppy called a Sorkie, which is a Yorkshire Terrie and Silky Terrier mix. This sort of designer mixed-breed is popular with dog lovers, according to Happy’s caretakers at the Community Animal Network.

Donations are desperately needed as the bill to care for two Labradors has risen to $1,754 and contributions are lagging, according to DiAnna Pfaff-Martin, the network’s founder.
