UC Irvine 5, USC 5

LOS ANGELES — Sophomore Ryan Fisher drove in the game-winning run with a hit in the top of the 12th inning, helping the No. 10-ranked Anteaters to a nonconference victory Tuesday.

Fisher, who went two for five, brought home Eric Deragisch, who doubled in the 12th. Cory Olson singled, doubled and homered, finishing short of hitting for the cycle for UCI (8-4).

Fresno State Lexus Classic

FRESNO — UC Irvine finished in a third-place tie with UC Davis following Tuesday’s final round at Belmont Country Club.

Washington won the title of the 20-team tournament with a 54-hole total of 865, followed by host Fresno State at 870. UCI and UC Davis shot scores of 876.

Anteater junior John Chin shot four-under 68 in the final round and placed eighth at 216. Freshman Michael Im finished ninth at 217 after a 76 Tuesday.

Freshman Roberto Francioni fired a five-under 67 in the last round and placed 34th at 225. Sophomore Shaun O’Meara (77) was 49th at 227 and senior Sean Shahi (72) finished 58th at 228.

WOMEN’S TENNIS

Orange Coast 5, Fullerton 4

FULLERTON — Freshman Melissa Boyer and sophomore Kalin Eshelman won in No. 1 singles play during the Pirates’ Orange Empire Conference match Tuesday.

Brittany Bass, the team’s No. 1 singles player, is out with a knee injury for OCC (7-1, 6-1 in conference).

COSTA MESA — Freshman Nick Stuart swept No. 6 singles action in the Pirates’ Orange Empire Conference match Tuesday.

OCC improved to 8-2, 3-2 in conference.
