Give that old phone book to children’s hospital
Beachside Recycling, 8601 Edison Ave., Unit C, is holding a phone book drive for Children’s Hospital of Orange County.
Local residents are asked to bring old phone books to enter a raffle. The phone books are used in the production of paper mulch, which is used to control erosion after Southern California wildfires.
The company also accepts old newspaper, office paper, mixed paper, corrugated cardboard and CRV beverage containers, and pays recyclers on-site.
Materials must be clean, unsoiled and dry.
