Rea is very proud of sixth grade student, Jose Avonce, who will be attending the Junior National Young Leaders Conference in Washington DC. He will be attending the week long conference from March 21st through the 26th. The Junior National Young Leaders Conference (JrNYLC) helps scholars develop and sharpen their leadership skills by examining the leaders of the past and empowering them to make a positive social impact in their community and the world. Jose was nominated to the JrNYLC by his music teacher Paul Leedy. Jose is currently student council president, is a member of the “Rea Singers” and the Encore Band. He has been a featured soloist with the choir and has sung The Star-Spangled Banner at Flag Deck. Jose is a natural leader and will be exposed to many workshops on Leadership at this conference. He is very excited at the chance to see democracy in action.
