COSTA MESA — Asher Twardowski, Miguel Arteaga, Will English and Charlie Umansky helped the Eagles eke out a nonleague victory by winning the 400-yard relay in 4 minutes, 3.27 seconds Wednesday.

Wes Barloon won the 200 individual medley in 2:23.94 and the 100 butterfly in 1:02.97.

Estancia (4-1) plays host to Bolsa Grande Friday at 3 p.m.

LAGUNA HILLS — Carter Taylor, Garrett Larson and Geon Kim won two events each for the Sea Kings in the Pacific Coast League opener Wednesday.

CdM won all 11 events. Taylor and Larson also contributed to two relay wins.

Taylor won the 200-yard freestyle (1:51.67) and 100 free (49 seconds), Larsson the 200 individual medley (2:02.10) and 100 breaststroke (1:03.85) and Kim the 100 butterfly (52.92) and 500 free (4:53.11).

Matt Berry touched first in the 50 free (22.49) and Ari Marks finished first in the 100 backstroke (59.42).

BOYS’ TENNIS

CORONA DEL MAR — Sophomore Shane Korber and junior Ryan Peyton swept No. 1 and No. 2 singles action during the Sea Kings’ nonleague match Wednesday.

CdM’s No. 1 doubles team of Parker Rhodes and Matt Fisher also swept.

The Sea Kings (5-2) will play in the CdM All-American Tournament, a two-day event which starts Friday.

CdM, Palisades Tennis Club, Balboa Bay Club Racquet Club and Costa Mesa Tennis Center will play host to the 16-team tournament. Two rounds will be played on Friday and two rounds on Saturday.

University, Thousand Oaks and Menlo-Atherton and Gulliver of Miami, Fla., are the top four seeds.

LAGUNA NIGUEL — Michael Moorhead and Jonathan Keedy both shot one-over-par 37 to share medalist honors for the Sea Kings in the nonleague match at El Niguel Country Club Wednesday.

Brian Mull (38), John Davenport (40) and Camden Nicholson (41) also scored for CdM (5-1).

SANTA ANA — Marcus Kiel and Zach Eddy both shot one-over-par 37 to share medalist honors for the Sailors in the nonleague match at Santa Ana Country Club Wednesday.

Mychael Clark (38), Travis Russell (39), Kawika Morse (40) also scored for Newport Harbor (7-2-1).

CORONA DEL MAR — Hillary Bush scored five goals for the Sea Kings in the Pacific Coast League game Wednesday.

Amy Youngman had three goals and two assists and Kaylyn Alexander added two goals and two assists for CdM (5-1, 2-0 in league).

Makenzie McHam and Ally Brahs had two goals each, while goalie Zoe Salaam recorded 20 saves, a season high, for the Sea Kings.

BOYS’ LACROSSE

LAGUNA HILLS — Junior attacker Randall Nelson recorded four goals in the Sea Kings’ Pacific Coast League game Wednesday.

Ryan Nix and Noah Molnar each had three goals and two assists for CdM (5-0, 2-0 in league).

Costa Mesa 26, Century 8

COSTA MESA — Tamy Cerrato went four for four with a triple for the Mustangs in the nonleague game Wednesday.

Vanessa Castro went three for four with a double and a triple, while Kira Mitani was three for three with four RBIs for Costa Mesa (7-3). Mitani also pitched four innings, striking out five and walking three.

Michelle Hernandez and Serina Jimenez both went two for three. Alesina Skipps was two for four for the Mustangs, who play host to La Quinta Friday at 3:15 p.m.

COSTA MESA — Emily Kaplan won two events and was a part of two winning relays for the Eagles in the nonleague meet Wednesday.

Kaplan won the 200 individual medley (2:37.85) and 100 breaststroke (1:24.04) for Estancia (4-1).

LAGUNA HILLS — Natalie Wong and Heather Van Hiel finished second in two events and posted CIF-automatic times for the Sea Kings in the Pacific Coast League opener Wednesday.

Van Hiel went 24.75 in the 50-yard freestyle, and 54.34 in the 100 free. Wong finished 1:01.48 in the 100 butterfly and 5:28.33 in the 500 free.

Nicky Lagle, Holace Barden, Devon Greenlee and Kate Berry won the 200 free relay (1:45.76).
