Man killed in accident on Warner Avenue

Police are still seeking information regarding the death of a Garden Grove man in a recent traffic accident.

The 67-year-old was crossing Warner Avenue northbound at Leslie Lane, one-fifth of a mile east of Bolsa Chica Street, about 5:56 a.m. Friday when a white Land Rover driven by Jorge Salazarleon of Huntington Beach struck him, preliminary police investigations indicate.

He was taken to Huntington Beach Hospital, where he died about half an hour later from his injuries, according to the Orange County coroner’s office. Salazarleon was not injured and has not been cited so far, police said.
