Kimber named Sea View League’s MVP
Huntington Beach High senior Zachary Kimber was named the Sea View League’s Most Valuable Player for boys’ basketball in a voting by the league’s coaches.
In addition, teammates David Swartz and Nicholas Neser earned first-team recognition.
Kimber, a senior guard, averaged a team-high 17.2 points and 6.7 rebounds per game for the Oilers, who finished in a three-way tie for the league title with El Toro and Foothill.
Kimber, who shot 48% from the field, also shot 42% from three-point land.
Swartz, a senior forward, averaged 13.6 points per game for Huntington Beach. He also finished with double-digit rebound totals in 10 different games.
Neser, a senior guard, averaged 11.7 points per game.
