Supervisor has wrong idea about Planned Parents

Since when does the Board of Supervisors have the right to even consider voting against the Planned Parenthood contract because it doesn’t coincide with their religious beliefs?

The recent item introduced by Supervisor John Moorlach smacks of a vote being taken in violation of the founding fathers of our country when they clearly stated there should be a separation of church and state in government matters! This action by the board is inexcusable!

The city needs to work on the bike/pedestrian path

As Huntington Beach continues to evolve into a world-class beach city, it needs to invest in its bike/pedestrian path.

Unfortunately, the current path is too narrow, the surface is too rough and it creates an unsafe condition.

Hardly anybody even bothers to rollerblade because the surface is so coarse.

The safety issue becomes more crucial as summer approaches and more folks start taking bike rides or walks.

When one rides or walks the paths in other communities, such as Long Beach, Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach, the quality of the experience makes us wonder why Huntington Beach can’t produce the same.

A starting point would be to install a new wider and smoother path from Golden West to Main Street, where the situation is the direst.

Amazing news for the state of the environment

Did you know that termites are the cause of most carbon dioxide and that smog is the result of decaying leaves? Read on, there is more.

The arctic is getting colder, as is Greenland. Ice caps and glaciers are not melting, and in fact sea levels are declining, not rising. How do I know? With nothing better to do, I decided to watch C-Span and happened upon one of our residents who was expertly expounding upon the subject of eight species of polar bears and the non-existence of human-assisted climate change. Who was he? Surely, you know, but in case you do not, here are a few clues. He seeks to shoot down asteroids. He also has gained acclaim as a presidential speech writer, and just recently was reelected to his umpteenth term in Congress.
