Man hit by vehicle exiting swap meet

Security officers sought to speak to the driver of a vehicle exiting the Golden West College Swap Meet for unknown reasons Sunday morning. A man who attempted to stop the driver was hit in the leg by the vehicle, which still exited the property, at 9:42 a.m.

The driver was not located after the hit-and-run; the victim refused medical assistance.

Redwing Lane: A cab driver called police when his customer failed to come outside to pay him; police discovered the passenger had a warrant for his arrest and took him to jail in the 16800 block at 1:32 a.m. Sunday.

Bolsa Chica Street: A cab driver said he was punched in the eye by a man who tried to say into the phone that it was an accident in the 16400 block at 1:41 a.m. Sunday.

Edinger Avenue: A man was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence after a fight between Bolsa Chica and Springdale streets that was reported at 2:41 a.m. Sunday.

Parkside Lane: Four juvenile skateboarders were antagonizing an elderly man in the 16100 block at 10:48 a.m. Sunday.

Shields Drive: An iPod, global-positioning system and sunglasses were found to be stolen from a locked vehicle in the 6100 block at 1:48 p.m. Sunday.

Edinger Avenue: A caller at a sports bar said patrons were pushing each other and frequently gamble in the bar in the 6400 block at 6:12 p.m. Sunday.

Leafwood Circle: A drunk man was hitting people at a residence and then fell through a front window in the 16700 block at 9:04 p.m. Sunday. The family members declined to press charges; the man was treated for his injuries.

Beach Boulevard: A man who said he was involved in a fight in a downtown parking structure called the police from an emergency room in the 17700 block at 1:47 a.m. Sunday.

Slater Avenue at Beach Boulevard: A man threw a Heineken bottle at someone’s vehicle in front of a fast food restaurant at 3:55 a.m. Sunday.

Warner Avenue: A woman was knocked unconscious after fighting with a man in the 6700 block at 11:05 a.m., according to someone who called police Sunday. The woman later said there was no fight; the couple was seen hugging and holding hands.

Talbert Avenue: A Toyota Camry’s window was broken, and a purse and wallet were stolen in the 8300 block at 12:16 p.m. Sunday.

Silent Harbor Drive: A caller told 911 dispatchers there was a skunk in his neighborhood in the 6300 block at 5:52 p.m. Sunday. Dispatchers advised them that skunks are allowed to be in the neighborhood.

Bellport Circle: A man complained that a taxi driver was holding his wife’s cell phone until they paid their $23 fare in the 17400 block at 8:51 p.m. Sunday.

Seventh Street at Olive Avenue: A felony battery was observed by a passerby who also was kicked in the head at 1 a.m. Sunday.

Pacific Coast Highway: A caller said her boyfriend was pushed down the stairs at a restaurant bar by bouncers in the 300 block at 1:50 a.m. Sunday.

22nd Street: A caller said two men were trying to fight with her neighbor in the 400 block at 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

Huntington Street: Someone reported hearing two shots in the 2500 block at 3:36 a.m. Sunday.

Baltimore Avenue: Someone reported a burglar stole several televisions, a PlayStation and shoes while she and her roommates were sleeping in the 200 block at 3:57 a.m. Sunday.

21st Street: A woman reported her wallet, MP3 player and cell phone were stolen over the weekend while she was in Bakersfield, and someone had begun using her credit card illegally, in the 200 block at 6:31 p.m. Sunday.

Beach Boulevard: A caller said two men rushed him and knocked him to the ground in the 19400 block at 1:24 a.m. Sunday.

Yorktown Avenue at Brookhurst Street: A man exposed himself to a caller in a Laundromat at 7:32 a.m. Sunday.

Maikai Drive: A woman reported a wallet was stolen from her vehicle over the weekend in the 10200 block at 4:41 p.m. Sunday. Someone found some of her things in Fountain Valley.

San Pablo Court: A residential burglary was reported in the 10000 block at 5:50 a.m. Monday.

Brookhurst Street: Grand theft was reported from a pet store in the 18800 block at 4:15 p.m. Sunday.

Magnolia Street: A vehicle burglary was reported from a church in the 17400 block at 11:35 a.m. Sunday.

Adobe River Avenue at Arches Court: A vehicle burglary was reported in the 3:58 a.m. Sunday.

Harbor Boulevard: A vehicle burglary was reported from a gas station in the 16200 block at 9:46 a.m. Sunday.

Begonia Avenue: Petty theft was reported in the 11100 block at 10:04 a.m. Sunday.

Snowdrop Avenue: A domestic dispute occurred in the 11200 block at 1:04 p.m. Sunday.

Newhope Street: A stolen vehicle was reported in the 17200 block at 3:38 p.m. Sunday.
