Fair a melting pot

The Sage Hill School in Newport Beach celebrated the diverse backgrounds of its roughly 450 students with its annual multicultural fair Saturday.

The school flew flags of more than 30 countries on the road leading up to the school for the fair, which is in its eighth year.

The school has students from all over the world, including Germany, France, Vietnam, China and South Africa.

Persian, Indian and Korean dancers performed at the event. Students also brought their favorite foods from their native countries to the fair.

Trinkets from around the world were for sale at a bazaar that was part of the event.

Sage Hill, 20402 Newport Coast Drive, is a coed college preparatory day school founded in 2000.
