Costa Mesa Community Run will close streets

The two southbound lanes of Placentia Avenue from Adams Avenue to the stoplight at Estancia High School will be closed from 6:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday for the Costa Mesa Community Run.

The event includes both 5K and 2K races as well as a pancake breakfast.

Given the closures, the city is advising participants to take the following detour: From Adams Avenue drive south on Harbor Boulevard, make a right on Wilson Street and another right on Placentia Avenue.
