COSTA MESA — Jake Melone had 19 kills to help lead the Pirates to a 30-20, 21-30, 30-21, 30-25 win in their Pacific Coast Conference finale Wednesday.

Alex Reis and Andrew Pavlovich each added 15 kills. Derek Martinez anchored the defense with five digs, while teammates Paul Leon and Doug Astor combined for 43 assists for OCC (12-8, 8-4 in conference).

With a third-place slot in the PCC, the Pirates will travel to Moorpark College to take on the Raiders in the first round of the regional playoffs on Tuesday. No time has been announced. Check www.orangecoastcollege.edu on Sunday for the latest information on the matchup.

IRVINE — Joe Doody and Albert Kilgore both shot three-over-par 74 for the Pirates in the Orange Empire Confernece match Wednesday at Oak Creek Golf Club.

Ryan Indovina and Kord Tagley both shot 75, whle Marcus Sostak-Rosa carded a 78 for OCC (10-6).
