Doubleheader

COSTA MESA — Joshua Manzano doubled twice and drove in two runs, helping the Lions win Game 2 and split the nonconference doubleheader Wednesday.

The Lions lost the first game, 7-4, and won the second game, 3-1, that went seven innings.

Jordan Wishmyer threw 6 1/3 innings, allowing five hits and striking out five to earn his first victory of the season.

In the first game, Nicholes Akins went three for four with three triples, two runs scored and an RBI for Vanguard (17-25).
