Area 1

Cliff Drive: A Long Beach man was arrested in the 300 block of Heisler Park on a warrant for allegedly destroying vegetation in Seal Beach at 10:25 a.m. April 16.

Cliff Drive: A man was taken to South Coast Medical Center with kidney pain from the 300 block of Heisler Park at 11:42 a.m. April 16.

Cliff Drive: A 3-foot-by-4-foot landscaped area was reported burning and the nearby beach area evacuated in the 300 block at 2:16 p.m. April 16.

Cliff Drive: A bleeding sea lion was reported in the 1200 block at Crescent Bay north at 3:18 p.m. April 16.

Cliff Drive: A paint sprayer was reported stolen from a garage in the 300 block at 4:13 p.m. April 17.

Cliff Drive: A homeless man was treated for an arm injury in the 300 block at 1:37 p.m. Tuesday.

Cliff Drive: A sea lion washed up in the 1000 block of Crescent Bay south at 4:44 p.m. Tuesday.

Cliff Drive: Lifeguards were called to rescue four swimmers, but the swimmers were reported to be OK, in the 1000 block of Shaw’s Cove at 7:03 p.m. Tuesday.

Fairview Street: A tortoise found in an alley was returned to its owner in the 200 block at 5:12 p.m. Monday.

Pinecrest Drive: Electrical fixtures valued at $645 were reported stolen from the 300 block at 11:34 a.m. April 15.

North Coast Highway: A Mission Viejo man was arrested on suspicion of DUI after a traffic stop in the 1400 block at 12:52 a.m. Sunday.

Laguna Canyon Road: A plant and a $100 chair were reported stolen from outside a gallery in the 3000 block at 10:45 a.m. April 15.

Alta Laguna Boulevard: Someone reported their neighbor cutting their tree without permission in the 2000 block at 8:40 a.m. Monday.

Broadway: An Anaheim woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI after a traffic stop at Coast Highway at 12:34 a.m. Saturday.

Mystic Way: Trees were reported trimmed without permission in the 600 block at 2:21 p.m. Monday.

Ocean Avenue: A $573.59 check written on a closed bank account was reported in the 300 block at 2:49 p.m. Tuesday.

Shady Place: Clothing and calendars valued at $75 were reported stolen from a home in the 28000 block at 3:50 p.m. Monday.

Sleepy Hollow Lane: A dead sea lion was reported in the 600 block of the beach at 1:44 p.m. April 15.

South Coast Highway: A Dana Point man was arrested on suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run after allegedly hitting a vehicle while leaving a parking lot in the 400 block at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

South Coast Highway: A Dana Point man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication after allegedly trying to break mirrors off of vehicles in the 600 block at 1:53 p.m. Monday.

South Coast Highway: A $300 iPod was reported stolen from a hotel in the 600 block at 1:58 p.m. Monday.

South Coast Highway: A homeless man was issued a citation on a drug charge in the 100 block of Main Beach at 6:18 p.m. Tuesday.

Temple Hills Drive: A Laguna Beach man was arrested on suspicion of DUI after a two-vehicle collision in the 1000 block at 8:44 p.m. April 16.

Bluebird Canyon Drive: A screen door was reported pried off in a possible break-in attempt in the 1300 block at 1:59 p.m. April 15.

Moss Street: A Mission Viejo woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI after a traffic stop at South Coast Highway at 1:42 a.m. Saturday.

Mountain Road: A dead sea lion was reported in the 100 block of the beach at 6:08 p.m. Tuesday.

Nyes Place: Firefighters were called to a home where paper was being burned in a backyard fireplace in the 400 block at 7:31 a.m. Sunday.

South Coast Highway: $399 cash was reported stolen from a safe in a bookstore in the 1200 block at 10:19 a.m. April 15.

South Coast Highway: Clothing valued at $500 was reported stolen from a laundromat in the 1000 block at 7:37 p.m. April 15.

South Coast Highway: Two people were taken to South Coast Medical Center with injuries after a two-vehicle collision at Agate Street at 11 a.m. April 16.

South Coast Highway: A Santa Rosa woman was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication after being refused admittance to a bar in the 1100 block because she was too drunk at 11:03 p.m. April 17.

South Coast Highway: A window was reported broken in an apparent break-in attempt at a business in the 1100 block at 1:20 a.m. Monday.

Coast Highway: A motorcyclist was reported down but not injured in an alleged hit-and-run collision at Wesley Drive at 4:07 p.m. Sunday.

Coast Highway: A baby sea lion was reported beached in the 31000 block of Aliso Beach at 5:33 p.m. Sunday.

Ocean Vista Drive: A rattlesnake was reported on the sidewalk in front of a home in the 21000 block at 5:21 p.m. Tuesday.

Tablerock Beach: A citation was issued for drinking alcohol on the beach at 8:40 p.m. Sunday.

Virginia Way: A Mercedes reported stolen from the 31000 block at 8:35 p.m. was located in the 1400 block of Glenneyre at 10:01 p.m. Monday.
