Advertising agency runs web design contest

The contest allows as many teams that want to enter to design the skins for each page of the site.

Caren Lancona, CEO of B Scene Advertising, said, “After a lot of strategizing for our clients Mark Umatum and Kimberlee Johnson, Co-Founders of Momslingolounge.com and Dadslingolounge.com, we all decided it would be a great idea to pull in the students to help build two great sites for their parents to use in a similar way that they use MySpace, Facebook and the other networking sites.”

The Contest starts on April 29 and continues to May 18, when all contestants will be required to present their website designs in Newport Beach, CA. The prize package includes a check for $ 1500 for the team that wins, a press release announcing the winners, contracting jobs at B Scene Advertising for future web design and development, and a media launch announcing the winners on May 22, 2009.

According to Lancona, “Four goals are accomplished with this open contest. The first goal is to create a state-of-the-art website that our clients love and that moms and dads will enjoy using. The second accomplishment is finding great new resources that think outside of the box of what we have seen over the years. It’s like a job interview with a potential prize package. The next goal is to involve students and the community in building this community website and interacting with their parents to find out what they would like to see for their site built specifically for parents, and the fourth goal is to get the word out that this awesome new site is coming soon.”

Consumers can take an active role in enhancing their families with today’s announcement of the world’s most comprehensive free online parents’ social networking website, Momslingolounge.com. A unique concept that will revolutionize social networking was conceptualized by company founder Kimberlee Johnson soon after she became a new grandmother and realized just how difficult it is to raise a child, let alone a grandchild, with no owners manual.

Momslingolounge.com will allow users to register a personalized profile networking with other parents. The service, which features interactive technology representing the optimum intersection for consumers and parents, goes live later in May.
