Three Laguna junior tennis squads victorious

Three different Laguna Beach Junior Team Tennis squads were victorious in matches played Saturday.

The Laguna Beach 12-and-under Red team defeated Bill Barber Park, 7-2. Players winning sets for Laguna included Joie Selin (6-4), Cale Airey (6-3), Bridgitte Thomas (6-3), Bridgitte Hockaday and Claire Hockaday (walkovers). Bridgitte Hockaday and Kelly Keller won a doubles set, 6-2, while Claire Hockaday and Charles Keller won via walkover.

The 12-and-under Blue team shut out Turtle Rock, 9-0. Tyler Jackson (6-0), Judge Washer (6-5), Zach Washer (6-1), Natasha Keces (6-1), Joie Selin (6-3) and Dom Droulez. Victorious doubles teams included Jackson and Droulez (6-4), Washer and Washer (6-2) and Keces and Jeffrey Spitz (6-2).

The 14-and-under Gold team also edged Palisades Tennis Club, 5-4. Players winning sets included Morgan Lebby (6-1), Kristian Rieckhoff (6-3) and Auguste Lalande (walkover). Lebby and Rieckhoff won 6-1 in doubles, and Kaito Lee and Selin won via walkover.
