NEWPORT BEACH — Seniors Darren Arnold and Cameron Chase combined to win 18 of 20 doubles games Monday to pace the Sailors, who clinched the Sunset League title with the home league win.

Newport Harbor improved to 13-4, 9-1 in league.

Senior Josh Tuz and sophomore Jason Cernius also won 18 of 20 games at No. 3 doubles.

Arnold and Chase are the No. 1 seed, with Tuz and Cernius the No. 2 seed in the upcoming league doubles tournament.

Orange Coast League finals

COSTA MESA — Estancia’s Ryan Knapp and Jake Knapp shot one-over-par 71 Monday to tie for the first-round lead of the 36-hole event at the Costa Mesa Golf & Country Club.

Costa Mesa High’s Billy Im (72) is in a three-way tie for third, while Estancia’s Ryan Burns and Jordan Young both shot 77.

The event concludes Wednesday on the Sky Links Course in Long Beach.

COSTA MESA — Senior Eric Mickelson had seven kills to pace the Eagles in the Orange Coast League match Monday.

Junior Kohl Jones had 14 assists, three kills and two blocks for Estancia (4-20, 2-4 in league).

Laguna Beach is 5-1 in league.
