Esther Margaret Meaney

Esther Margaret Meaney (nee Allsop), born July 24, 1925 in

Boston, Massachusetts, passed away on April 29, 2009, of

complications associated with dementia. Mrs. Meaney married

Thomas A. Meaney on July 19, 1943, and was married

for almost 50 years until his passing in March of 1993. Mrs.

Meaney was also preceded in death by her second son, James

R. Meaney. Esther Meaney is survived by her first son Thomas

R. Meaney, daughter Joan E. Byrd, son Allen R. Meaney,

seven grandchildren, and numerous great- and great-greatgrandchildren.

Memorial services will be held in California.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to

the Alzheimer’s Association in Esther’s name.
