Currie is named interim chancellor of college

Coastline Community College in Fountain Valley has named its president and acting chancellor, Ding-Jo H. Currie, as its new interim chancellor, effective July 1.

Currie was appointed following a unanimous vote by the college’s board.

“I am humbled by the board’s unanimous vote of confidence,” Currie said in a statement. “I will do my very best to serve in my new role and work closely with the leadership teams at our three outstanding colleges.”

She will work with the board to identify an acting president for the college as the search for a permanent chancellor goes on.

Currie has served as the college’s president for nearly seven years.
