Police department holds annual awards breakfast

The Huntington Beach Police Department held its annual employee awards breakfast April 29.

Five employees, nominated by their peers and/or supervisors, were recognized for their service to the community.

A selection committee representing a cross section of the department’s employees made its recommendations to Chief Kenneth W. Small, who made the final selection.

Officer Victoria Shroyer was named Officer of the Year. Police Records Specialist Marion Loney was designated Civilian Employee of the Year. Detention Shift Supervisor Darrin Woolever took the award for Supervisor of the Year, and an award of merit was given to Officer Gary Gosper. Det. J. Kreg Muller was honored with the department’s Distinguished Service Award.
