Roommate says fridge issue caused fight

Police received a call from the 20000 block of Mural Circle about a fight at 6:30 a.m. Sunday. The caller said he was fighting with his roommate, after the latter refused to allow the caller to clean the roommate’s food out of their shared refrigerator. Other neighbors also called police to complain that the men were disturbing the peace.

Location unknown: A woman said her 22-year-old, drug-addicted son shattered a glass door and punched her arm several times at 9:50 a.m. Sunday.

Edinger Avenue at Beach Boulevard: A witness observed a female passenger “fall out” of a vehicle that nearly hit her afterward before driving away at 2:58 a.m. Sunday.

Kimberly Drive: Two guitars were discovered stolen from a Dodge Charger in the 6000 block at 8:11 a.m. Sunday.

Bolsa Chica Street: A gas station employee said a woman drove away with the gas nozzle still in her vehicle, breaking it off, in the 16500 block at 1:02 p.m. Sunday.

Producer Lane: A business in the 15500 block where a phony check was passed a year ago said they had a lead on where the forger is now at 6:13 p.m. Sunday.

Algonquin Street: A gas station employee said a customer drove away with the gas nozzle still in their vehicle, breaking it off, in the 16900 block at 8:41 p.m. Sunday.

Ronald Road at Beach Boulevard: Someone was seen peering into vehicles and trying door handles at 1:11 a.m. Sunday. The suspect was apprehended.

Beach Boulevard at Garfield Avenue: A drunken driver was seen swerving and throwing beer bottles out of their window at 1:46 a.m. Sunday. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence.

Lynn Street: A purse and backpack were discovered stolen from a Lexus vehicle in the 17200 block at 8:42 a.m. Sunday.

Via Carona Drive: A laptop was discovered stolen from a vehicle in the 6700 block at 8:53 a.m. Sunday.

Wild Rose Lane: A laptop was discovered stolen from a locked vehicle in the 17100 block at 12:17 p.m. Sunday.

Kristopher Lane: A green Honda Civic that had been stolen was located when it was in a traffic collision in Westminster; a caller reported it had been stolen in the 17200 block at 2:35 p.m. Sunday.

Main Street: A purse was discovered stolen from a shopping cart in an office supply store in the 18600 block at 3:22 p.m. Sunday.

Keelson Lane: People were seen smoking marijuana in the 17400 block at 5:23 p.m. Sunday.

Garfield Avenue: Two male juveniles were seen breaking into vehicles in the 8200 block at 5:29 p.m. Sunday. They were apprehended by police.

Beach Boulevard: Employees said a woman was “acting weird” in a restaurant restroom, after turning the restaurant’s lights on and off and taking customer’s silverware, in the 17400 block at 6:11 p.m. Sunday.

Palo Alto Drive: Someone threw paint or mortar on a caller’s back patio overnight in the 6000 block at 7:15 a.m. Sunday.

Alabama Street: Motorcycle helmets and gloves were discovered stolen from a garage in the 800 block at 11:14 a.m. Sunday.

Felcliff Lane: Several callers reported hearing several gunshots beginning in the 19900 block at 2:09 a.m. Sunday.

Newhaven Lane: A caller said his brother attacked him in the 19300 block at 3:14 a.m. Sunday.

Beach Boulevard at Adams Avenue: A caller said their laptop had just been stolen at 3:19 a.m. Sunday.

Molokai Drive: During a wrestling match over a cell phone, a 17-year-old drunken son grabbed a sledgehammer before putting it back down in the 9400 block at 12:44 p.m. Sunday.

Brookhurst Street at Hamilton Avenue: Four motorcycles were maneuvering between vehicles when one toppled and hit a Mercedes, denting it, at 6:02 p.m. Sunday. The motorcycle rider drove away and the Mercedes driver was unable to stop them.

Banning Avenue: Juveniles were seen at the back side of the Banning Library, apparently breaking windows to enter the library, in the 9200 block at 8:03 p.m. Sunday. The juveniles were arrested.

Kiwi Circle: Grand theft was reported in the 9400 block at 11:22 a.m. Tuesday.

Powderhorn River Court: A case of identity theft was reported in the 10300 block at 3:49 p.m. Monday.

Brookhurst Street: A case of automobile tampering was reported in the 18100 block at 4:07 p.m. Monday.

La Capilla Avenue: Someone was disturbing the police at a residence in the 9600 block at 10:40 a.m. Tuesday.

Gardenia Avenue at Spruce Street: Vandalism was reported at 11:26 a.m. Tuesday.

Redwood Street at Trillium Avenue: Vandalism was reported at 11:26 a.m. Tuesday.

Warner Avenue: Commercial burglary was reported at a medical office in the 11100 block at 12:06 p.m. Tuesday.

Brookhurst Street: Petty theft was reported from a diner in the 16200 block at 9:36 p.m. Monday.

Warner Avenue: A domestic dispute occurred in the 11300 block at 3:02 p.m. Monday.

Harbor Boulevard: A shoplifter was taken into custody in a grocery store in the 16100 block at 4:39 p.m. Monday.
