Corporate Video & Film (CVF) Videotapes the 2009 CHOC Follies

For more than 40 years, Orange County parents have counted on Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC). As a non-profit hospital, CHOC relies on community support to provide leading-edge care for infants, children and adolescents close to home. Corporate Video & Film owner and CEO Greg DePetro felt so passionate about the cause, he volunteered his production and post production company’s time to video tape and edit the CHOC Follies production at a fraction of his cost. The CHOC follies is a major fund raiser for the hospital and “I was just happy they could help offset some of the cost of the production crew” he said.

Pediatric care is costly, and the demand for our services continually grows. Many of the specialized services we provide are not available anywhere else in the Orange County region so the money raised by the CHOC Follies is so important to the hospital’s fund raising efforts. Gloria Zigner, CHOC Follies founder and producer claims this year alone the production raised more than $500,000. “It’s so important to the cast to be able to see the production on video,” Zigner said, “And we weren’t sure we would find someone to shoot it on almost no budget. I contacted CVF at the last minute and they were able to arrange a crew and shoot it despite the challenges they faced, and at a fraction of the usual cost.”

“We are proud to have the opportunity to be part of such a worthwhile cause as CHOC,” said CVF’s DePetro, “We look forward to working closely with the CHOC Follies to provide video production services for many years to come. In fact,” he continued, “I may audition for a role next year, as long as I don’t have to sing. That wouldn’t be good for anyone.”
