Skosh Monahan’s Goes Live!

Popular Newport Blvd. Restaurant to offer music 5 nights a week.

Skosh Monahan’s Steakhouse & Irish Pub began providing live entertainment Tuesday evening June 2nd. Starting at 8:30, Dave Stewart commenced the Restaurant & Pub’s foray into the local music scene. Mr. Stewart has been playing many local spots over the years including currently Billy’s at the Beach. Kerry Getz will follow him up on Wednesday. Just back from Europe, Ms. Getz accomplishments include 2002 Female Artist of the Year at the Just Plain Folks music awards, and her debut album “Apollo” was named “One of the Best of the Decade” by the LA Times. Rounding out the first week will be Mark Wood on Thursday, Vic Moraga on Friday and Ken Hale on Saturday. “We are extremely excited to be able to provide some incredibly talented musicians to our Costa Mesa audience” said Michelle Mauro, the Pub’s General Manager & Entertainment Coordinator. “Partnering with Mark Wood Entertainment gives us the ability to bring a diverse and extremely talented pool of musicians to play at Skosh’s.” Mark Wood Entertainment, Founder and President, Mark Wood has been on the local music scene for decades. Recently featured on PBS, performing original music from his two latest CD’s, Mark has opened for Jimmy Buffett, Bruce Hornsby, Sammy Kershaw and many others. “I am looking forward to providing some great entertainment at Skosh Monahan’s. The local scene always needs more “Live Music” venues and Skosh Monahan’s definitely has a great, casual feel”, said Wood. Rounding out the incredible June roster are some of Southern California’s strongest solo entertainers, including: Dave Stewart, Jason Feddy, Kerry Getz, Ken Hale, Kelly Fitzgerald, Vic Moraga and Mark Wood. Entertainers will perform from 8:30PM-11:30PM on Tuesday - Thursday and 9:00PM-12:30AM on Friday and Saturdays. Skosh Monahan’s is owned and operated by Costa Mesa Council Member Gary Monahan. The Restaurant and Pub opens daily at 4 pm and 12:30 pm on Sundays.
