Elks hold Flag Day ceremony

The Newport Harbor Elks #1767 is holding its annual Flag Day Ceremony on Sunday, June 14th at 12:00 noon. The event will take place on the lawn area in front of the Newport Beach City Hall on Newport Blvd. The community is invited to attend.

Patriotism has characterized the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the United States of America since the early days of the organization. Allegiance to the flag of our country is a requirement of every member.

The Elks Lodge #1767 officers and members will be honoring Girl Scout Troops from Costa Mesa following the ceremony at the lodge. The troops will be presented with the Gold award, equivalent to the Eagle Scout rank.
