Police on lookout for peeper

Police said Tuesday they have no more information on a man witnesses reported seeing rubbing his groin while peering into Newport Beach homes over the holiday weekend.

Just before 7 a.m. Friday, a man in the 1000 block of Nordina reported seeing a man described as white, 5-foot-10, 175 pounds with brown hair wearing a white shirt, blue jeans and white socks, peering into windows near the 7100 block of West Ocean Front, according to police logs.

The man was looking inside homes from an alley there and rubbing his groin over his pants, a witness reported. Police said it appeared the man would walk closer to the homes and was trying to look inside.

Police have made no arrests.
