Junior

Junior, 12 weeks old, is cuddly and likes to sit quietly on laps while you read a book, according to Maggie and Jackie Hannon a mother-and-daughter foster-parent team who have been volunteering for the Community Animal Network for two years.

“Junior is one of those kittens whose personality has always been shy around strangers, but he always wants to be close to us,” Maggie said.

It’s best that Junior finds a home with someone willing to devote a lot of attention to him, according to the organization’s volunteers.

Meet Junior and other cats at the network’s Fashion Island pet adoptions noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

An orientation for volunteers will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. July 18.
